Senge
Dongma, the Lion-Faced Dakini, or Simhamukha, as she is called in
Sanskrit, dances in the bow and arrow posture, holding a flaying knife
aloft in her right hand and a skullcup of blood in her left hand. The
staff she carries represents her secret consort. She is considered to
be a secret emanation of Guru Rinpoche, or Padmasambhava, and is a
remover of obstacles and a guardian of "hidden texts", or termas of the
Nyingma lineage. Original Painting s & Museum-Quality Giclee Prints on Canvas Available |
