Rigjedma,
4-armed aspect of Red Tara holding a fully-drawn bow and arrow made of
lotus flowers as well as an elephant goad and a noose, also of flowers.
She is one of the twenty-one Taras and is both a yidam & a
dharmapala. Her basic function is to bring benefit by arousing passion,
then transmuting it into wisdom. She uses her bow to shoot the arrow
which subjugates discursive thoughts, then uses hook and lasso, or
noose, to bind dualistic thinking into the vast expanse of pristine
awareness. Trampling upon the corpse of ego, which represents the
egolessness of her actions, she wears the five skulls of her crown as
ornaments of the spiritual path and as symbols of having overcome the
five emotional hindrances. OM PADMA DAKINI KURUKULLE HRIH SO HA Original Paintings & Museum-Quality Giclee Prints on Canvas Available |
