Akshobhya,
blue lord of the vajra family presides in the eastern realm of
the mandala. He embraces his yum, Lochana, his right hand holding the
vajra, or dorje, symbol of his family, as he rings the wisdom bell with
his left hand. He represents the primordial cosmic element of water,
and his path to enlightenment is one of breaking free of obstacles and
constraints -of transmuting negativity, overcoming the gross, deluded
passion of anger through the application of mirror-like wisdom.
