The bodhisattva Vajrasattva, at the point of entering nirvana, made the compassionate pledge on behalf of sentient beings of all realms that whosoever should merely hear, remember or utter his name in prayer, should be purified of their karmic negativity and liberated from the cycles of samsara. Deep, ruby-red, Padma Sangwai T'higle is the Vajrasattva of the red, lotus family of Enlightened Speech. His practice serves especially to purify negative karma and removes obstacles to activities of enlightened speech and the recognition of the inherent purity of all phenomena.
